Russian prez throws Putin’s old speechwriter overboard

Reportedly, Russian President Dmitry Medvedev wants to distance himself from his predecessor, Vladimir Putin. So what does he do? He dumps the old speechwriter, Dzhakhan Pollyeva, and appoints his own, a former aide named Eve Vasilevskaya. She’ll go to work on the annual state of the nation address, to be delivered in November.
