Three jobs for speechwriters

Gigs at an association, a grocery empire and the government of Brunei
The Chicago-based American Medical Association is looking for a senior speechwriter to “write speeches, talking points and manuscripts for AMA officers, Board of Trustees and other senior executive staff.”
U.K.-based Tesco is looking for an editor & speechwriting manager to “be responsible for three things: drafting speeches, blogs, articles and other written content to support major communications campaigns for Tesco; ensuring a consistent style and tone of voice across all written content produced by Group Communications teams and working in particular with the Executive Committee and UK Leadership teams on external speeches and presentations.”
And there’s this weird two-year gig in Brunei that involves helping the country’s Ministry of Foreign Affairs with speechwriting “as well as providing learning opportunities and training to develop English speechwriting skills of key government staff.” For more on the post, write to Paul Thorley: [email protected].
