How do you know your idea is "worth sharing"?

TED Talk advice, from the horse’s mouth. “TED’s Secret to Great Public Speaking” is an eight-minute video by the head of TED, Chris Anderson. For speechwriters (and their bosses) the best advice is to find an idea that’s truly worth sharing. “Ask yourself the question, ‘Who does this idea benefit?’ And I need you to be honest with the answer. If the idea only serves you or organization, then I’m sorry to say, it’s probably not worth sharing.”
