“Speech-to-text glasses”: 2D glasses, for our audiences
September 27, 2010
New “speech-to-text glasses,” when they’re fully in production, will allow the deaf actually read what a speaker is saying.
And, though it likely hasn’t occurred to the creators, the fancy goggles could also allow speech audiences read as they go, creating a weird and wondrous 2D experience.
“Another feature lets you record the text to a flash memory card for later use, which would be great if you’re the type of person who tends to sleep through meetings or boring lectures.”
Oh, the possibilities.
