U.S. Joint Forces Commander: ‘PowerPoint makes us stupid’

God bless the Gen. James N. Mattis of the Marine Corps, the Joint Forces Commander, who said earlier this month that “PowerPoint makes us stupid,” and added that the program is “dangerous because it can create the illusion of understanding and the illusion of control. Some problems in the world are not bullet-izable.”

And God bless The New York Times, which includes Mattis’ remarks in a savage slaying of PPT that every speechwriter ought to see somehow gets into their client’s hands.
