This speechwriter whistles while he works

He listens to rock when he wants to inject passion, classical when he wants to feel smart.
Do you listen to music when you write?
I can’t do it, but speechwriter Matt Greenough, managing director at Words Matter, says he has used music to charge his prose.
“For something with a bit of passion, I’ll often reach for the Manics …. Anything technical required something classical, perhaps to convince myself I was clever enough to be tackling whatever subject it was. I enjoyed including some Idles lyrics (with credit) in a recent speech.”
