Department of Don’t Let It Happen to You

Did you read where Zimbabwe’s aged president, Robert Mugabe, read the wrong speech to parliament last week? After Mugabe read the entire script without interruption, his spokesman blamed “officials,” according to NBC News, and “added that the president would read the correct speech at a later date.”

"This is a historic blunder,” his political opponent from the Movement for Democratic Change predictably pounced. “Anyone who is still of a sound mind would have quickly picked it up that the speech was the wrong one.”
