Sociolinguist wants to observe speechwriters in their natural habitat

Speechwriter, she wants to watch you work. Dr. Gwynne Mapes, an American sociolinguist based at the University of Bern, Switzerland, seeks participants for a research project about political speechwriters and their linguistic expertise. Hoping to understand how speechwriters think about their own practices and skills, Dr. Mapes would like to interview speechwriters concerning their professional practice, career trajectory, and writing process. She would also like to observe and/or understand the “life of a speech”—from its first conception, to its final delivery. You’d be anonymous, as would your client.
