The ideal candidate will have prior experience writing for an elected official, candidate, or CEO, as well as a familiarity with the issues facing Los Angeles. The position requires the ability to write in a diverse range of forums — from 30-minute policy addresses, to 3-minute introductions, and everything in between. Target, based in Minneapolis, is looking for a speechwriter and executive communications manager to “research and write engaging presentation as well as edit speeches; translate complex ideas and strategies into simple and cohesive communications that are visually appealing, tell a story, and are action-oriented; and help senior leaders convey what’s important to them and to the company using videos, internal social media, and additional emerging vehicles.”

Dell, in Plano, Texas wants to hire a communications consultant to work with various executives on “internal and external presentations, scripts, talking points, blogs, vlogs, bylines, briefing books, CXO roundtables, panel discussions, keynote addresses, and emails in support of leadership meetings, All Hands meetings, Dell-sponsored events, industry analyst meetings, government official visits, customer outreach and more.”

Lockheed Martin‬, in ‪Bethesda, Md. is hiring an executive communications specialist to “support the Chairman, President & CEO‬ and other senior executive leaders …. T‬he candidate will develop content for internal and external engagements, including speech writing, memos, social media content and other written communications as well as develop talking points, remarks and Q&A.

Concur, the travel management  company in Bellevue, Washington, is hiring a director of speechwriting and executive communications to “drive all facets of executive communications for a C-level executive, including speech writing, blog posts, and development of content for internal and external presentations.”

Sabre,‬ in ‪Dallas-Fort Worth, is hiring someone to fill a senior executive communications role. This person will “prepare internal and external materials for senior executives for multiple forums and channels including leadership meetings, customer meetings, employee town halls, analyst meetings, executive roundtables, keynotes, presentations, blogs, videos, social media.”‬

AOL in New York City is hiring a vice president of global executive communications to “develop and manage global strategic communications plans around creative appearances and features for the CEO … responsible for writing strategic plans, press releases, talking points, Q&As, briefing memos, etc.”
