Yehuda Avner, speechwriter to four Israeli prime ministers, is dead

In service of Eshkol, Meir, Rabin and Begin, Avner gave "voice to our cause and our people."

Yehuda Avner, speechwriter to four Israeli prime ministers—Levi Eshkol, Golda Meir, Yitzhak Rabin and Menachem Begin—died Tuesday at 86. In a statement, Avner’s son-in-law David Sable said Avner “listened, advised and wrote, giving voice to the Prime Minsters he served and voice to our cause and our people.”
