Vital Speeches editor purchases magazine and Professional Speechwriters Association

Move eliminates the middleman between the convener of speechwriters, and the speechwriters.

Last week I purchased Vital Speeches of the Day magazine, and with it the Professional Speechwriters Association. What does this mean? Only that there is now no middleman between the convener of speechwriters, and the speechwriters. The aim doesn’t change: to serve speechwriters and the whole leadership community by knitting us closer together as a profession, providing practical professional development, increasing speechwriters’ influence in the communication business and representing us well to an often misunderstanding outside world.

To the extent the venerable Vital Speeches and the precocious PSA have already been doing that, no news. And if independent ownership can help us do it better—good news.

Now and always, please let me know—directly, and exactly—how we can help. —DM
