Speechwriter’s career “was always challenging and had a great deal of variety”

Former LBJ and Henry Ford II speechwriter William Henry Schoen III died June 9 at 89.

According to the obit in the Detroit Free Press, Schoen also โ€œused his writing skills to help the State Department promote the Marshall Plan after World War II.โ€

His wife Mary said, โ€œHis career was always challenging and had a great deal of variety.โ€
