For one more year, the annual global speechwriting conference will be virtual. And for one more year, the camaraderie will be visceral, too.
When you peruse the 2021 program, you’ll see that the Professional Speechwriters Association has made full use of the recruiting advantages for holding one more virtual conference before returning to our traditional in-personal event in 2022.
And in case you didn’t join us for last year’s virtual affair, here are a few typical responses from participants.
โI was skeptical about this online meeting. Itโs working perfectly.โ
โIf the objective was that we would feel (as much as possible) like being on Georgetown campus you have it. โฆ We had really good, useful, trusted conversations. Towards the end, one person asked for advice, got several ideas to help moving ahead, and concluded by thanking us and saying โI can feel love at this table.โโ
โThis wonderful, inspiring feeling of breathing the same air and tuning in to the same pulseโwell that feeling is just as strong, and perhaps even higher valued this year.โ
โIt has been engaging, inspiring, exciting, and intermittently infuriatingโwhich is exactly what I want and expect from a convening of this kind. From the first day, I have come away bubbling with ideas for how to apply the insights and examples of your presenters to my own work. And here on the eve of our final session, I am close to overflowing.โ
โAt one point I was actually clapping at my screen.โ
โHOLY $#!=โฆ.. This is the best conference ever.โ
Register before the July 31 early-bird deadline, and join us.
