From the White House to Funny or Die
March 02, 2016
As a White House speechwriter, David Litt specialized in humor; his wit landed him a job at Funny or Die.
David Litt was the funniest speechwriter in the White House, and now he’s the White House speechwriter at the humor website Funny or Die, according to The New York Times. Litt wrote speeches for President Obama until stepping down earlier this year, and served as lead writer for the last four Correspondent’s Association dinners. His favorite joke was one he wrote for the president three years ago:
“I know Republicans are still sorting out what happened in 2012, but one thing they all agree is that they need to do better at reaching out to minorities. Call me self-centered, but I can think of one minority they should start with.”
