By David Murray, editor, Vital Speeches of the Day
A friend was too busy at work Tuesday morning to catch the inaugural address. He was on his way to find it online, but he never made it.
He tripped over consecutive posts on Facebook, one from a conservative friend who decried President Obama’s intention finish transforming the U.S. into a totalitarian state, and another from a liberal friend who lamented another four more years of presidential inaction.
“I figured the speech was nothing new,” my friend shrugged, and ordered another round.
