University of Virginia, and the Barnes Group seek speechwriters

The Bristol, Conn.-based Barnes Group is looking for a director of corporate communications. Exec comms will be a big part of the job, which will involve drafting “strategic messaging (speeches, presentations, scripts) for the CEO on a regular basis and provide similar support (as needed) to the senior officer team.”
The University of Virginia needs a communications manager to serve as assistant writer to the chief writer, and help with “drafting and editing talking points for the president, high-level correspondence, personal notes and other projects that require excellent writing, editing and proofreading skills.” Applicants should view posting number 0616703 at the university’s jobs site.
