Three speechwriting jobs available

Shell seeks a speechwriter/editor to work out of its London offices, though the right candidate might be allowed to work out of the Hague. The job is a combo of speechwriting and writing stories for Shell.com and other internal media, so “someone with journalistic and corporate speechwriting experience” would be ideal, says Shell speechwriting Brian Akre. A Fortune 500 firm in the midwest seeks “an accomplished speechwriter for the Chief Executive Officer.” Responsiblities range from speeches to video scripts to written materials including “possibly white papers.” Take note: “The talent who will be considered for this role must have a proven track record working with CEOs and senior management team members working across all executive communications and speechwriting platforms, with little or no direction from those leaders.” Send cover email, current compensation and résumé to Jessical Henselmann: [email protected].

The U.S. Food and Drug Administration is lookiong for a speechwriter for the commissioner. “The issues are typically broad, complex, controversial and sensitive.”
