The physical demands of a speechwriting job
May 03, 2010
A job description for a speechwriting post includes a chart that lays out the “Physical Demands” of the job.
The chart shows the speechwriter does not need to Stand, Walk, Reach with Hands & Arms, Stoop, Kneel, or Crouch or Lift anything heavier than 10 pounds.
However, the speechwriter must be able, for more than six hours a day, to be able to Sit, Talk or Hear, Look at a Computer Screen and Use Hands to Finger, Handle and Feel.
Which, as we know, isn’t as easy as it sounds.
