Speechwriter escapes “vicious cycle” of speechwriting!

Former White House speechwriter Jon Lovett is head writer on a new sitcom called 1600 Penn.
What led Lovett, who wrote for Hillary Clinton before a three-year stint in the Obama White House, to quit speechwriting for Hollywood?
“I had never really planned on being a speechwriter,” he told U.S. News & World Report. “I didn’t know what would happen if I left, and because I didn’t know what would happen if I left, I never explored leaving. And it was a vicious circle, so finally I just decided I have to try.”
