“Speech-to-text glasses”: 2D glasses, for our audiences
September 27, 2010
New โspeech-to-text glasses,โ when theyโre fully in production, will allow the deaf actually read what a speaker is saying.
And, though it likely hasnโt occurred to the creators, the fancy goggles could also allow speech audiences read as they go, creating a weird and wondrous 2D experience.
โAnother feature lets you record the text to a flash memory card for later use, which would be great if youโre the type of person who tends to sleep through meetings or boring lectures.โ
Oh, the possibilities.
