Preview: Obama speechwriter’s memoir portrays frat-house vibe

Early review says David Litt's book reveals "bro" culture in White House Speechwriting Office.

Obama White House speechwriter David Litt has a new book coming out: Thanks, Obama: My Hopey Changey White House Years.

A pre-publication review in the Daily Mail portrays a frat scene, where speechwriters and other staffers “drank, smoked, called each other ‘bro,’ and liked—or pretended to like—only college basketball to please the president.”

We expect there’s more to it than that, and maybe less, too.

We’re happy to wait and see—but if anybody wants to get an advance copy and write a review from a speechwriter’s perspective, we’ll consider it for vsotd.com. —DM
