Organization Issues Press Release to Announce Hiring of Speechwriter

In a release this week, we learn:

Consumer Reports, the largest and most trusted consumer organization in the world, has hired Daniel Cluchey as Executive Speechwriter and Advisor. In his new position, Mr. Cluchey will play a vital role in communicating the mission, vision and values of Consumer Reports to key stakeholders and to new audiences.

Consumer Reports president and CEO Marta Tellado is quoted as saying Cluchey “will be a valuable resource to the leadership team and me as we connect with younger and more diverse audiences, grow and mobilize our network of activists, and reach consumers where and when we can help them most. He brings a generous dose of policy smarts, creativity and energy to the team.”

Cluchey is quoted too: “I am pleased to join Consumer Reports during a pivotal moment both for the organization and for the broader consumer rights movement … I look forward to working with Marta and the leadership team to continue to safeguard the rights of consumers by advocating for a more transparent, more accountable and fairer marketplace.”
