It’s a victory speech … no reason to start lying now

Winning politician refuses to make nice with opponent who smeared him.
Rep. Justin Amash (R-Mich.) just survived a primary challenge from an opponent, Brian Ellis, who used Amash’s Arab-American heritage to imply he was “Al Qaeda’s best friend in Congress.”
In his acceptance speech, he didn’t bother with the usual phony noises of graciousness, addressing Ellis directly.
"You owe my family and this community an apology for your disgusting, despicable smear campaign. You had the audacity to try and call me today after running a campaign that was called the nastiest in the country. I ran for office to stop people like you."
