Speechwriters sought in summertime

Princeton University’s president needs a speechwriter to “assist with the preparation of speeches, reports, presentations, statements, articles, daily correspondence and other written materials on behalf of the president.”

KPMG in Montvale, N.J. is hiring an associate director of advisory corporate communications. It’s an internal communications job reponsible for “leadership presentations, executive speechwriting, and other written communications.”

The University of Pittsburgh in Pittsburgh, Pa. needs an executive speechwriter to support the Chancellor, “preparing original, professional, effective and compelling high-profile communications. Expected to research, verify content, and transform complex concepts into clear, meaningful communications. Requires business acumen and the ability to think strategically.”

American Psychiatric Association in Arlington, Va., is hiring a corporate communications specialist, “responsible for providing primary communications support for the APA President, the CEO and Medical Director, and other members of the leadership team. The position oversees and updates a CEO Blog, serves as primary speechwriter for the President and CEO/MD, coordinates with subject matter experts to produce executive PowerPoint presentations, and assists the President in writing columns for Psychiatric News. The position also manages the Twitter accounts for the CEO and the President.”

Michael Page, the recruiter, is looking for a VP of corporate communications for an unnamed global beauty brand in New York. This person will be “expected to establish clear communication plans for senior executives for internal and external communications and meetings/updates, develop executive messaging, write executive talking points and speeches, ensure the timing and tone of announcements aligns to corporate plans and releases, and optimize exposure to drive brand stature and business initiatives.”

OneAmerica in Indianapolis, Ind. is hiring a communications writer “responsible for supporting C-level executives, includes weekly emails for the CEO; writing content for SharePoint, the company’s internal intranet site; writing and editing for the weekly all-associate email; and managing, maintaining and writing corporate identity print materials.”

The Foreign and Commonwealth Office in London is hiring a chief speech writer. “It is essential that the United Kingdom has a clear and effective voice on the world stage and that our views and policies are presented and clearly understood. As Chief Speech Writer you will be expected to deliver a range of speech products, remarks and articles for Ministers, in conjunction with officials and advisers—often under very tight deadlines.” URGENT: Posting expires July 13.
