When a leader takes the stage, sends a video to the public, or addresses thousands of employees in their inbox, the stakes are sky-highโ€”and, as their exec comms advisor, you know it. Your instincts are sharp, but todayโ€™s communications landscape is shifting fast. AI promises speed but risks stripping authenticity. Internal messages can instantly become external headlines. The political environment can turn a routine note into a reputational landmine.

Your organization needs you to navigate all of it, faster and smarter.

In this intensive four-day course, one of the very leading lights in leadership communication will equip you with the frameworks, structures and rhetorical tools to transform your writing and editing into leadership assets. Youโ€™ll learn to anticipate consequences, write with authority, and edit in ways that serve todayโ€™s needs and build your institutionโ€™s legacy, for the future.

You’ll return to your work with new mastery over the craft of executive communication, practical writing techniques you can use Monday morning, and the confidence to operate as both a trusted strategic thinker and master craftsperson.

AGENDA

DAY 1: Executive Communications Excellenceโ€”Learning From the Best

Tuesday, Feb. 3, Noon-2:00 p.m. Eastern

We begin by dissecting the best of executive communications, including videos, memos and social posts that did the job they set out to do. Youโ€™ll learn how to reverse-engineer this work to do best-in-class exec comms work of your own.

You’ll walk away with:

  • The ability to deconstruct and replicate the elements of powerful executive communications.
  • Quick-hit techniques for more effective memos, videos and social posts.
  • A three-question executive litmus test to decide if a message truly requires the leaderโ€™s voice.
  • A clear-eyed view of where AI can help, and where it can hurt, badly.

DAY 2: The Architecture of Executive Communications

Wednesday, Feb. 4, Noon-2:00 p.m. Eastern

Today we tackle the top exec comms formats that shape leadership perception, including executive briefs that are actually useful to your leader โ€ฆ bullet points that inform and persuade โ€ฆ and speeches that build authority from the first line. Youโ€™ll see how to structure complexity for clarity, and watch a live demonstration of AI-assisted speechwriting that keeps voice authentic.

You’ll walk away with:

  • A customizable executive briefing template used by top CEOs.
  • The five-part introduction framework that establishes authority and credibility in under 60 seconds.
  • Techniques for bullet points that help your executive land key messages that echo beyond the room.
  • Proven persuasive structures for various communication purposes.
  • Page-one principles that ensure your briefs are read and used.

DAY 3: Mastery and Strategic AI Integration

Thursday, Feb. 5, Noon-2:00 p.m. Eastern

Now the stakes rise. On Day 3, youโ€™ll learn to write for high-stakes contexts: politically sensitive communications, investor letters, and board memos. Youโ€™ll also master strategic editing frameworks that elevate good drafts into great leadership communications.

You’ll walk away with:

  • A five-lens strategic editing framework to pressure-test any communication.
  • Strategies for writing in polarized environments without compromising credibility.
  • Essentials for board memos and investor communications.
  • A live masterclass: drafting a 2,000-word speech with AI, then refining it into a delivered piece.
  • Language and coaching techniques to defend your choices and guide executives with confidence.

DAY 4: Applied Executive Communications + Office Hours

Friday, Feb. 6, Noon-1:30 p.m. Eastern

The final day belongs to you. Open office hours provide time for personalized feedback on your projects. Together, weโ€™ll workshop real challenges and apply the frameworks.

Youโ€™ll walk away with:

  • Reinforced mastery of frameworks for strategy, structure and editing.
  • Tailored guidance for your organizationโ€™s unique communication challenges.
  • A roadmap for reframing your role as not just a writer, but a trusted advisor.

INSTRUCTOR

Meet the Instructor

Meet the Instructor

Jerry Wohletz has, for 15 years, helped leaders communicate with purpose, clarity and conviction. He’s partnered with CEOs on the Time 100 (Titans) and Fortuneโ€™s Most Powerful Women (#7) lists, written for Hollywood A-listers and political leaders, worked alongside founders, and helped them all show up in high-stakes moments with messages that move people and get results.

Before founding Analog Leadership Communications, Jerry led executive communications at Walmart, where he served CEO Doug McMillon and led a team that supported Walmartโ€™s c-suite. His work shaped keynotes and thought leadership for global stages, from the Consumer Electronics Show to the World Economic Forum in Davos to Investor Day.

Earlier in his career, Jerry worked in healthcare and education in Chicago, Washington, D.C., and Rochester, New York. But his foundation was set even earlier. A classically trained violinist, Jerry was raised on a Kansas farm where his communications approach helped transform six tomato plants into a thriving local agritourism business. That early experience in music, agriculture and entrepreneurship still shapes how he helps leaders communicate today: with precision, a deep sense of what’s at stake, and above all, purpose.
