Three non-profits seek speechwriters

The Acumen Fund, a non-profit in NYC focused on poverty, is looking for a content curator for CEO Jacqueline Novogratz. This person, part of the Office of the CEO, will “be responsible for building speech frameworks and/or outlines, remarks, talking points, and visual presentations for the CEO” and other duties.”

The director at the National Science Foundation, located in Arlington, Va., is looking for a speechwriter to “research and craft formal speeches in the fields of science, engineering, and education, as well as any pertinent policies. They will also work collaboratively to help develop a wide range of content, including talking points, remarks, op-eds, and more. Qualified candidates will have experience developing and writing speeches for Members of Congress, agency or organization executives, and other thought leaders. In addition, they should have experience preparing background information for a variety of appearances, such as public events and press conferences. Applicants will be expected to provide writing samples and references.”

The recruiting firm TorchLight is seeking a senior director of speechwriting for a prominent education and arts non-profit. “This role serves as the primary resource for the organization’s C-Suite in a strategic communications function that will include message development, speech writing and internal communications. Candidates must have experience developing thought leadership platforms and writing for senior-level executives.”
