Original Obama brat-pack speechwriter Adam Frankel leaves White House

Original Obama speechwriting brat pack member Adam Frankel left the White House last week, to become executive director of a nonprofit that promotes technology as a cure for education ills.

A UPI story credited him with writing these lines, for the commemoration last year of the West Virginia mining disaster:

“Most days, they would emerge from the dark mine, squinting at the light. Most days, they would emerge, sweaty, dirty, dusted with coal. Most days, they would come home. Most days, but not that day.”

Before joining the Obama campaign, Frankel helped Ted Sorensen write his memoir.

Some of that stuff rubbed off.
