Speechwriter Henry Ehrlich alerted us to the best-man speech in a recent episode of the PBS show "Sherlock." Holmes gives a best-man speech because creator Steven Moffat always wanted Sherlock to be the best man at John Watson and Mary Morstan's wedding. "I loved writing the speech, and I don't normally cry when I'm writing," Moffat told Vulture. "Sadness doesn't make me cry. I think a simple expression of devotion probably does."
