British speechwriting maven attends German speechwriting conference

Earlier this month 250 German speechwriters convened in Berlin. And Brian Jenner, founder of the U.K. Speechwriters’ Guild and the European Speechwriter Network, used the experience to express strong opinions about what makes a good speechwriting conference, and what does not. For instance, the “The Germans invited several academics to speak. This is like inviting convicted criminals to speak at a police federation conference.”
