It seems to me that speechwriters are naturals to write white papers for their organizations.

But the white paper experts I spoke with in creating this guide to writing white papers, a special issue of the Vital Speeches sister publication ContentWise say they’ve never heard of speechwriters doing white papers; it’s usually marketing goons who get this plumb assignment.
