A call for corporate stories that compel

On the subject of executive storytelling, it’s time to put up or shut up. After several years of incessant talk in our business about the importance of storytelling, I’m putting together an all-new version of my “Speechwriting Jam Session.”

I want to show of CEOs or other non-political leaders—pols have always been handy with a yarn—telling compelling stories in speeches.

Do they exist? I recently wrote a post on my personal blog in which I charged that most of the stories we write for our bosses don't amount to much … and then I illustrated what it sounds like when a story truly "delivers the bomb."

Have you helped your leader deliver a bomb?
