181 CEOs declare that their companies serve more than shareholders

On Monday we learned that 181 CEOs had signed a “Statement on the Purpose of a Corporation” that broadened core constituents beyond just shareholders.

Employees, suppliers and communities are now officially part of the corporate mission, according to the release by theBusiness Roundtable. “We commit to deliver value to all of them, for the future success of our companies, our communities and our country,” the statement said.
